Triple Score (The Art of Seduction, #4)
by Regina Kyle
Harlequin Blaze, July 19 2016.
Paperback, $5.50

Noelle Nelson hasn’t had the best year. Her break-up with her choreographer boyfriend was all over the New York gossip columns. She tore her ACL. Her career as the top ballerina in the New York Ballet could be over. And to top it all off she’s stuck in a private physical rehab center in the middle of nowhere, bored out of her mind. She’s determined to get better and return to the stage, but she’s a long way from better. At her sister’s request, she starts looking for a distraction. Lucky for her, Jace Monroe is the center’s latest patient.

Jace is in rehab with a career-ending injury as well, but it’s not his first time there. His arm is shot, which for a baseball player isn’t great news, and he’s determined to get back on the field again. That doesn’t stop him from noticing Noelle. She’s smart, funny, and is constantly bumping in to him (though not entirely on purpose). Noelle finds Jace’s confidence bullheaded but she can’t deny her attraction to him. What’s the harm of having a little fun?

Kyle introduced us to the Nelson family in Triple Threat, and this last installment in the Art of Seduction series ties a pretty bow on the family’s love life. Noelle and Jace’s relationship starts off as purely physical, but it’s easy to see how it evolves into something more. The two characters are career-driven people with terrific chemistry who end up caring for each other in a way they didn’t anticipate. Readers will recognize past pairings in the Art of Seduction series who appear in this book, but reading the previous installments isn’t necessary to enjoy Noelle’s story.

Kyle’s previous books have paired equally interesting careers together, and Triple Score follows suit. Who doesn’t want to see a ballerina and a baseball player date? It seems far-fetched but Kyle makes it work. The story can be a little heavy handed with the baseball and ballet references, but Noelle and Jace’s relationship more than makes up for it. This book is definitely Rated R, as all Blaze books are, so recommend carefully.

Who Will Like It: Like bad boys with a heart of gold? Watch Mr. Right-Now become Noelle’s Mr. Right in this steamy contemporary romance.
